UP has big software potential: NASSCOMThe National Association of Software and Service Companies has earmarked seven cities in Uttar Pradesh as being ideally suited for conversion into software centres. NASSCOM, the Rs 15 million computer and software company, which converted Hyderabad and Bangalore into cybercities, today offered to develop software technology parks in Noida, Agra, Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi and Dehradun.
NASSCOM Executive Director Dewang Mehta felt these cities meet all the requirements for software centres, like semi-skilled manpower, capital and communication facilities, besides a market for information technology. Mehta made the offer to the UP government during a seminar. -Compiled from the Indian media
