The recasting will be in line with the group's two-pronged strategy of international and domestic growth, he said.

Satyam Group, which is among the fastest growing software companies in the country, currently has four subsidiaries and a workforce comprising 4,000 employees.

As part of the company's domestic growth strategy, Raju has marked West Bengal along with Delhi as the growth areas.

In this regard, he had an hour-long meeting with West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Somnath Chatterjee, the state chief secretary and other senior WBIDC officials.

Satyam will formally mark its presence in the state from December 14 when one of the group subsidiaries, Satyam Infoway, rolls out its Internet services in Calcutta.

"It was an exploratory meeting and if things work out well, we will have a software development base in the state by the middle of next year," he said. A final decision is likely to be taken after the current restructuring exercise is complete.

Expounding on the group's strategy, Raju said the company's revenue earning profile would change in the years ahead with the revenues from the domestic operations set to hit a growth curve.

Satyam, which develops software solutions for 35 multinationals and top Fortune 500 companies like Boeing, General Electric, General Motors, Ford and others, hopes to have around 100 top multinationals on its list by the turn of the century.

"For this we will set up seven offsite development centres where there are major clients. Some of these will be in the UK, US, Singapore, and Japan," he said.

At present nearly 95 per cent of Satyam's revenues come from global software services and consultancy, and ERP implementation.

"We will focus on high-end software development activities and move up the value-chain," Raju said.

The group has four subsidiaries - Satyam Computer Services that is the wholly-owned flagship, Satyam Renaissance Consulting, Satyam Infoway which is into Internet services and Satyam Enterprise Solutions which implements ERP solutions, telecom billing and customer care products.
