Modi Telstra and Wipro forge technology allianceModi Telstra, the 51:49 cellular services joint venture between the B K Modi Group and Telstra Corp, has entered a technology alliance with Wipro Infotech to implement a 'customer centric' billing solution.The end-to-end solution, developed by Wipro Infotech, will integrate billing, customer care, mediation and fraud management.
Wipro Infotech Group President Ashok Soota said "Telecom is a major focus area for Wipro and we will continue to provide solution and services in this segment." The solution from Wipro will allow more efficient monitoring of customer queries and give a better feedback and understanding of the clients' choices and preferences. It will also enable the company to incorporate regulatory tariffs as and when they are announced. The latest application will also enable Mobile Net, which is the brand name of the cellular services, to track customer complaints and calls, reduce activation time, implement price plans relevant to customers, better manage reporting, give single-view access to all customer related information and better management reporting. The architecture of the Wipro convergent billing solution has also been designed to include data and broad band services such as video-on-demand, pay television, Internet services, home shopping and intelligent network services.
