CSI to host e-commerce seminar in Pune

The Computer Society of India is holding a convention on Internet/Web and e-commerce technologies at Pune on July 16 and 17.

Dubbed E-COMM 99, the convention's theme will be 'I-Business for Enterprise Excellence'.

At the Regal Room of Hotel Pride, E-COMM 99 claims to be an all-under-one-roof convention comprising technical programmes and speeches, vendor presentations and exhibition of Internet technology products and services.

The objective is to provide a platform for all the delegates to exchange information related to current technologies.

On the first day, July 16, the technical programme will cover evolution of the Web, Web programming, Web programming languages, Web application development tools and experience sharing with experienced Web developers on various aspects such as estimation, security and sizing.

On July 17, the management track will comprise issues based on Web business paradigms, e-commerce software, payment systems, interesting applications such as auctions, e-stamps, entertainment, comparison-shopping and recommendations and advertisements.

The registration fee for two days is Rs 3,500 per person. This includes course material, lunch and refreshments. Discounts are available for registrations beyond three people per organisation.
