Novell launches Internet courseThe Novell Certified Internet Professional course has been launched in India.During the launch in Madras, Future Software Managing Director K V Ramani quoted an independent survey which put the worldwide growth of the Internet at 12 per cent per month. He said there are about 75 million Internet users in the world and in 1996-97 Internet connectivity in India grew by over 50 per cent. Ramani, who is also president of National Association of Software and Service companies, said that with the privatisation of Internet service providing business, better services could be provided by those who were trained under NCIP. Earlier, Harish Mehta, managing director, Onward Novell India Limited, said the company would come out with cross-platform services soon. The NCIP was designed jointly by Novell, IBM, Sun and Netscape to give a professional touch to Internet usage. He said NCIP would be to the Internet and intranet what Novell Authorised CNE was to business LANs and WANs -- the global standard for service and support. |
