Tata Infotech offers new banking softwareTata Infotech has launched a trade finance automation program called Unitrade. The product was developed in-house and is a 'state-of-the-art, user-friendly' solution which automates and streamlines trade finance operations of a bank.The solutions, based on a client-server architecture, work on open platforms. It uses a powerful relational database management system for data storage and retrieval on the server and provides a graphical user interface for ease of operation, Tata Services Limited press note claimed. Unitrade has features such as intuitive graphical user interface, context sensitive online help, a high-level of security, automated generation of accounting and risk entries, online limit checking facilities, integrated and automated document and message generation. It also provides for generating swift/telex messages. The transaction processing rules can be parameterised, based on the needs of the bank. The product caters to the departments of the bank handling all functions relating to the imports and exports business. It handles functions related to the letters of credit, inward and outward bills, loans, guarantees, rebates, import licences etc. With a range of features such as queries and reports, the product provides for easy access to key information crucial in decision making and reduces turnaround time typically required for documentary credits, the press release added.
