IBM to set up 15 training institutesIBM; Tata Information Systems Limited; Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and Lotus Development Corporation are to set up 15 training institutes across India to help produce manpower for the national information technology industry.A release issued today by the Institute of Information Technology in Lucknow said each centre would conform to IBM education norms worldwide and train around 6,000 students each. They will be set up in Lucknow, Delhi, Calcutta, Pune, Bombay, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Madras, Thiruvananthapuram and Vadodara. The release said the centres would be equipped with the latest hardware, software, Internet access and a well-stocked library. The faculty has been trained by the IIT and certified by TISL. UNI |
