Senior investigator of the International Cricket Council Allen Peacock, who is
looking into the betting and match-fixing scandal
Mumbai Cricket Association secretary Prof. Ratnakar Shetty said Peacock along with Board of Control for Cricket in India executive secretary Sharad Diwadkar visited the stadium, but "none of the MCA officials were interrogated or asked questions".
He added: "Peacock wanted to know what preventive measures will be
taken in future to curb betting and match-fixing among players,
and inspected the players' enclosure and the dressing rooms.
"He also suggested that the players' enclosure be
secluded and strict vigil maintained when matches are on."
Diwadkar informed that Peacock, who will be visiting all major cricketing centres around the world, was not interested in the past and wanted to know what measures have been taken to prevent similar incidents happening in future.
