VHP to organise Shaurya Diwas at Akshardham temple

President of the Ram Janambhoomi Nyas, Mahant Ram Chandra Paramhans on Tuesday said the main function of the 'Shaurya Diwas' to mark the tenth anniversary of the Babri masjid's demolition would be organised at the Akshardham temple in Gujarat on December six.

The mahant told reporters in Ayodhya that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad would organise the function in Gandhinagar to avoid unnecessary security checks at Ayodhya.

On Tuesday, at a meeting held in Ayodhya, of VHP and BJP leaders condemned the attack on VHP general secretary Jaideep Patel in Gujarat.

The meeting also condemned the terrorist attacks on the Swaminarayan and Raghunath temples in Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir, respectively.

VHP joint organising secretaries Champak Rai and Rajendra Singh Pankaj, BJP district general secretary Hari Shankar Singh and RSS leaders were among those who addressed the meeting.
