She debuted in the Aditya Chopra first release after Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
Though her launch was rather unconventional -- she played the role of a young widow -- Preeti Jhangiani made an impact in Mohabbatein.
And now, she has string of releases coming up. You can't blame Preeti for being thrilled; she is working with directors like Feroz Nadiawala, Mahesh Manjrekar and Pahlaj Nilhani.
For this model turned actress who loves romantic films, Mohabbatein was the ultimate love story. "In Mohabbatein, there was a love story for everyone. Anybody who is in love can identify with it! I knew the film would do very well, despite what the critics said."
Her essential ingredient for a successful love story: "I think what makes or breaks a romantic film on big screen are the songs and how well they fit in. I love dancing around trees. For me, Mohabbatein made me fall in love again."

Lamhe It's a different kind of a love story. A film portraying the timelessness of love. Yashji has shown how love can break the barriers of age so well that one can't help but fall in love with the film. Besides, Sridevi is my all time favourite actress, so this film was a treat for me.

Khuda Gawah I love period films, especially ones that have more than a hint of grandeur. Khuda Gawah, in particular, has so many different shades of love -- the invisible bond between father and daughter, between two friends, between husband and wife, to the extent that she goes mad when she loses him -- portrays the depth of emotion in this film. Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi make an unbeatable combination.

Maine Pyaar Kiya A love story that one can watch anytime. A film that appealed to all generations. Salman and Bhagyashree suited their roles to the T. Very very fresh, just like all romances should be.

Bobby Probably the first teenage romance where two 16-year-olds fall in love with each other…. The film that redefined puppy love. I loved its absolutely youthful, innocent look and melodious songs.
