Russell Crowe is back. The actor of hard-hitting films like The Insider, Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind, will be seen next in Body of Lies.
The movie, which releases on October 17 in India, is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by David Ignatius. It will be directed by Ridley Scott (who worked with Crowe earlier in American Gangster, A Good Year and Gladiator).
Body Of Lies also stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Iranian actress Golshifte Farahani. Leo plays a CIA operative sent by his manipulative boss (Russell Crowe) to Jordan to find a high-ranking terrorist.
It will be interesting to see how this latest Crowe-Scott collaboration fares at the box office.
Incidentally, we will be seeing more of this director-actor partnership. Scott is set to direct an adaptation of Robin Hood called Nottingham in which Crowe will portray the Sheriff of Nottingham.
