Flute Music From Indonesia, IndiaPITTSBURG The sounds of the bamboo flute from Indonesia and India would soon be heard at the Mellon Institute Auditorium on September 24 at 7.30 pm. The Indonesian music is presented by Burhan Sukarma, a master performer on the suling, the Indonesian bamboo flute. He will be accompanied on the kakapi, an Indonesian zither, by Andrew Weintraub and Rae Ann Stahl. Ronu Majumdar, acclaimed for his work on the bansuri, will be accompanied on tabla by Vijay Ghate, an accomplished percussionist from India.
