Re-examining Recent Developments In IndiaCHICAGO -- South Asia and Contemporary Events is a dialogue to be led by Dr V P Vaidik, chairman of the Indian Council of Foreign Relations, on December 11 on recent happenings in India. The first half of the conference will consist of Dr Vaidik's talk and a question and answer session; the second half will consist of two break-out sessions -- one on India-Pakistan relations, and another on south Asia as a whole and other nations of the region. The event is hosted by the College of DuPage, Department of International Education, and organized by the South Asia Group for Action and Reflection, a Chicago-based organization that aims to help the people and nations of south Asia, achieve greater harmony and well being. It also encourages greater co-operation among people of south Asian origin living abroad. The event is scheduled for 10.30 am to 1 pm at the College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn, IL (630) 858-2800, in Room 2800, Student Resource Center.
