HSC Regional Conference at EmoryThe Hindu Students Council at Emory University will host the HSC Southeast Regional Conference in the wake of the millennium, January 21-23. The theme of the conference is One World, One Future. "In conjunction with this theme, HSC 2000 will encompass not only learning about Hinduism, but learning about other religions as well," a press release said. "The weekend will include interfaith workshops and discussion groups to help us better understand faiths such as Christianity, Islam, Jainism, and Sikhism, and their interrelations with the Hindu Diaspora." There will be discussions about the meaning of rituals and wedding ceremonies. Detailed information about the HSC 2000 conference will be available in the next few weeks, and online conference registration will begin in the fall of 1999.
