AAHOA Conferences in SC, AtlantaFLORENCE, South Carolina Reinventing Hotel Operations: Strategy for the Next Millennium is the subject of a conference to be held here on October 7 and in Atlanta the next day. Organized by the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, the free event will feature several AAHOA leaders including Ramesh Surati, the chairman, Bhakulesh 'Bugsy' Patel, vice-chairman, and Dhansukh 'Dan' Patel, the secretary. It will be held at City County Civic Center at One Civic Plaza Drive, 5300 West Radio Drive; (843) 679-9417. The events will start at 9 am. Big Names at Ayurveda ConferenceNEW YORK Vasant Lad, the founder of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque in New Mexico, will join several top Ayurvedic practitioners and manufacturers of Ayurvedic products at a two-day seminar to be held here on October 30 and 31 at the Florence Gould Hall at French Institute. Ayurveda for the 21st Century: New Paradigms for Health is being organized by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Among the participants are best-selling author Dr Deepak Chopra and skin-care expert Pratima Raichur. Dr David Mathis of the George Washington University Medical School and Dr Shrikant Mishra of USC School of Medicine, Los Angeles, will also speak at the conference. The fee for the conference and lunch is $ 345 for those register by September 30 and $ 395 thereafter. For BVB members, students and seniors, it is $ 300.
