Your Views:Pakistan is a nation which should never be trusted. It is a symbol of distrust. We lost our fame, our territory, our brave jawans, our peace & finally our patience. Not today, but the incidents from partition, from the year 1948 when Pak declared its first war against India, it proved how Pakistan deals with its neighbours. Pakistan brought us nothing but shame among the world's nations, that India could not even safeguard its territorial integrity. But now we should not repeat the same mistakes again. The 3 Indo-Pak wars, the Kandahar incident, the brutal terrorist attack on our Parliament, the ongoing and nonstop bloodshed of our brothers and sisters in the extreme northern corner and to crown it all, the cowardly attack on the families of our jawans shows nothing but Pakistan's ugly motive and bloodthirsty, inhuman face. Declare a Decisive War against the enemy who dares test our patience for the past 50 years, so that it must not even think to spell the sacred name "India". War is the only way out. We can never trust the world's nations to come to our aid at this juncture. It is our war and we have to fight it ourselves. Victory is ours. Jai Hind.

Your Views:On the face of it, it appears that war is the only option. However if we analyse the prevailing scenario---the political instability, lack of political will and economic conditions--war should be considered as the last option. India is a regional power and needs to be more balanced in her approach in all matters. We should not react to each and every action of Pakistan. In the years to come Pakistan on it's own will get dismembered due to internal problems and acute domestic pressures.

Your Views:India should definitely carry out a limited attack on terrorist camps in POK. Because all the effort of our govt. failed to make Pakistan behave properly. There is not only the problem with J&K, Pakistan is spreading terror all over our country. Pakistan should know that we are much-much bigger than them in every field, so why are we keeping patient so long? A lesson should be taught to them as early as possible.

Your Views:7 months is too long a period. Coercion does not last that long. Deterrent ceases to be a deterrent if it cannot be used without paying too high a cost. Complete stoppage of terrorism may also take too long. When it is minimum, we should respond to the request for negotiation. It is better to negotiate with all those who have a say in the matter. Using the good offices of mutually trusted friends on the sidelines to ensure the negotiations continues till the problem is solved to the satisfaction of all those who really matter.

Your Views:True in a sense that India is painting itself into a corner by deploying forces that it had no intention of using, but the success really lies in exposing the traitorous reality of Pakistan. How many times did Pakistan promise action against the terrorists and then betray? And how many times did the world witness this? I would certainly not say a war with Pakistan is the only solution but I feel things are certainly moving in that direction. If the world community continues to drag on with the thought that India has infinite patience, If Pakistan feels it can bleed India and get off every time, they are wrong.

Especially USA Britain and all other superpowers should realise their greater role in bringing peace and harmony in India and it will pay a strong dividend in their efforts to fight against Global terrorism. Your Views:Like Israel, we must now decide to solve terrorism problem as we face it on our own. Enough of diplomacy and advice of the so called developed nations who are playing their own politics at our cost. If NDA government does not have the courage to tackle this problem in a do or die manner, it should resign or be prepared to be shamefully defeated in the next elections. The people of India want a lasting, permanent solution to this problem and if the government does not have the will to try a solution, it is not fit to remain in power .Why can't we show the world that we are not going to tolerate the insanity of terrorists? Why and how long are we going to depend on empty assurances both from an unreliable, cunning military ruler and from self-seeking western politicians? If we have any sense of self-respect and any understanding of the ground reality, well, enough is enough and action is the only way out.

Your Views:There is possibility of a war not just with Pakistan but a chain reaction which will drag whole world into war. Pakistan has already crossed all the limits of tolerance for India and the world together. Terrorism has now become the prime focus of attention of global powers, and the recent elections of the president of India making Dr Abdul Kalam its consensus candidate has elevated the chances. It may not be in the interest of common man to go for war at global level ,which means ruined economy and loss of lives. It may improve the images of political leaders as heroes and help them improve their chances in next elections But the aftermath of war is unimaginable.

Your Views:It has been ages since this proxy war is going on. It is high time for India to come to a decision. We either go for a war or give away Jammu & Kashmir for which all this cross border terrorism is going on. At no cost, will a Indian be ready to part with Jammu & Kashmir, so war is the only option available as all the actions taken including talks and peace trips such as Lahore bus trip have failed miserably & the war continues. Infiltration too is on its peak. Surely, the damage due to war will be very high for both the countries but at least there will be an end to this terrorism and deaths at regular intervals. Pakistan has always gone back on its words and still the US of A supports it. International community will surely stand with us now that we have tried our best to avoid War. It's time Mr Musharraf realises that India is not afraid of war. At the end of the day, we all want peace and harmony and if the cost for peace is war, then so be it. Both the military as well as civilians will stand by the country's decision and face the consequences. We will surely have a clear future & people of Jammu & Kashmir will be able to live life in peace at least for once. Hindustan Zindabad!!

Your Views:How can one say that the war is the final solution of any conflict? Going through history one will find that the war has never solved any issue. War means destruction. From one side or the other. I personally believe that there is no winner in the war, only losers. Yes, the situation in the state has turned ugly. It is worse than the situation during the decade old militancy. The reason is simple. The ultras have now started targeting the civilians, `the soft targets'. Innocent and unarmed civilians are being killed through out the state without any justification. The three incidents, this year that is Ragunath Temple Attack, Kaluchak Attack and finally the Qasim Nagar attack clearly indicates that no one is safe anywhere in the state. The ultras can strike any where on their will. But to solve the problem one should see the root cause of the problem. Terrorism cannot be wiped out by killing the terrorism but by killing the cause itself. So lets, take the Kashmir issue seriously. It is not an army issue. It is a political, a human issue so let's solve it together.

Your Views:We are unfortunate to have a neighbour whose fundamental belief is to kill and hurt India as much as they can. Inside most of the people, there is desire to live (except for some fanatics) . If we show to Pakistan that we will kill if they kill our citizens, I do not think they would like to die. It is time we recognise that we need to reply to Pakistan in the language they understand. India is bound to suffer but it will also mean safer and progressive lives for our children. We cannot just afford to inhibit our growth and future due to a rabid neighbour. We need to teach him a lesson and postponing this event will just make it worse and bleed us more. We as a nation cannot afford to fight a half war. We cannot afford to just keep soldiers on the border and spend money of them for just no result. It is time we go for war and settle the issue for once and all.

Your Views:In life, as in diplomacy, nothing can ever be said in black and white. What the Upanishads say are something to the same effect.. that there is no single truth. That is the greatness of India. Truth has many facets -- as the Mahabharata so eloquently tells us. who was evil, who was righteous? were the Kauravas the evildoers as we are led to believe? Were the Pandavas good? if so, why did they go to hell, while the Kauravas went to heaven? was Krishna himself above board? Applying the same principles to India and Pakistan -- two estranged cousins again -- we should ponder: who is bad, who is good? What is good and bad? Has India been above board in all its dealings...? Uncomfortable questions will come up, but unless they are answered, there can be no resolution to this issue...

Your Views:War is definitely inevitable.The patience of New Delhi is running out. It only needs another attack like at Kaluchak to heighten tensions between India and Pakistan to maximum levels. The reason is Pakistan can, but will not take steps to prevent terrorism in India. Also,now the militants have crossed that stage where they can be controlled by the Pakistan Government or the ISI. While the US can play a proactive role to ease tensions, it cannot be relied upon.The reason is there for everyone to see. Time and again the have done things only to satisfy their interests.They have never been genuinely interested in peace in the sub-continent or anywhere else in the world. If there is another major attack in India by Pakistan based militants, US will rush envoys to cool down tensions. But this scenario cannot go on for ever.The time will come when India will have enormous domestic pressure to retaliate. It will then not be in a position to listen to any calls from the White House asking for restraint. At that time War will be inevitable.It is just a question of when and not if it will it happen.

Your Views:Yes, war with Pakistan is inevitable. But why is the Indian Govt. not responding in an eye for an eye situation. Every international gathering, Pakistan always brings up the topic of helping the so-called freedom fighters of Kashmir and assuring them moral & diplomatic support and ultimately giving full fledged support for their terrorists activities. If India wants to stop this freedom fighting as termed by Pakistan, India too should open up a proxy war against Pakistan by supporting separatist movements in Pakistan, eg. fuel the Baluchistan for Baluchis movement, fuel the Jiye Sindh Movement and then Pakistan will realise what does freedom fighters means when freedom fighters indulge in terrorism, arson, looting & killing. Come on Indian govt. if you don't want to have a open war, fuel a proxy war. Then only all this Kashmirization will stop on the international agendas.

Your Views:In the present day context patience rules over anger. The best way to win a situation without much loss to the lives and property (Economic loss) is the diplomatic war through which we can isolate our enemy to a level of surrender to the world opinion. The way the things are moving shows that how the diplomatic strategies can suffocate a mad philosophy to remain with a thin population of followers. The welwishers and supporters of these groups are gradually diminishing and a new situation has come where people feel shy or afraid to openly support a particular mad sect of political force. Patience has no parallel, and adopting a fool proof defensive strategy with a diplomatic offensive will only help us to get rid of a catastrophic situation of nuclear war. My opinion in this regard will be to request my fellow countryman to remain vigilant and work for the country's unity and prosperity so that the enemy cannot take advantage of our weak situation and exploit it to the maximum for breaking the bond of unity .

Your Views:After the attack on the parliament the country should have made the decision to attack and destroy the terrorist camps and their support centres. the inability of the politicians to take the decision then has only cost us economically and otherwise. The fear of the nuke was all the show that the general could put up as he was aware that a war with India would completely destroy his country. Added to this was the interest of US to prevent an attack by India on Pakistan as it was vital for US to use Pakistan to get Osama. Indian politicians being what they are - big bloated egos, were carried off by the American game plan of delaying any action by the Indians. Having delayed the Indian response to the crime in the months when it was possible to mount an all out attack, all that we Indians can hope for is that they dont step up the ante as our army is in no position to fight an war in the till the autumn is up. The extreme heat of the North Indian summers makes it difficult for men and machines to fight, thereby leaving us with no option but to wait till the winter is back. Hope by that time our govt. will have some gumption to take action against Pakistan.

Your Views:War is a short word but has long and terrible consequences. In the context of the nuclear power of both the sides there could be widespread disaster and destruction of two already impoverished economies. Pakistani authorities need to realise that they will be impaired beyond immediate revival should there be a war, where there is a strong possibility of a nuclear attack. With little or no survivors left the war after all will be a pyrrhic victory for either side. To me international diplomacy seems to be the only option. We need to be more creative on that front.

But in this case, only one country ie India is practising restraint, which unfortunately won't work in this scenario as Pakistan book of peace is totally different from ours. And as we do not have the guts to retort or attack them as they always want to use that day to press the nuclear trigger, the cowards that they are, either way only back door, back stabbing only their Army can win. 'Inshah Allah' has no meaning for cowards. If there is no war we must at least use the media of the satellites to show how India inspite of Pak designs has progressed, especially the Muslims who are far better off here than the Pak. Pak instead of improving their economy is feeding them with empty promises and rhetoric, as it costs them less. As they don't know economic life is more important then mere slogans of Jihad and Kashmir. the only catch with the war with Pak is Syed Abdullah Bukhari, who even during Kargil did not pray for India's victory as it was a Jihad the Indian army was repulsing. So if he calls for Muslims to support Pak..... beware!

Your Views:Pakistan has always been a problem.People are dying everyday, both civilians and army personnel & their families drowned in misery and sorrow. Rather than all this it would be much better to crack down on all terrorist groups . When US can attack the taliban 1000s of miles from home & Israel can attack Palestinian terror groups, why can't we do the same . The answer to this is we all fear a nuclear war which might trigger off a chain reaction worldwide and the outcome of this is nothing but utter devastation. To ensure supreme victory of good over bad , we must all forget colour and race .The world must realise that the final war is between 2 sides the good and the bad .. and we are all sensible enough to make the right choice.So my appeal to all the people of the world is "please , lets all join hands and ensure the triumph of justice truth & peace and make the world a better place to live"....all those who read this message , please pass it on .. Your Views:I don't know what the government thinks or what it's strategy is to counter these ever increasing terrorist activities, but as a civilian I always feel this sense of insecurity whenever I travel by a bus, plane or train. I feel this danger in my own country lurking at every corner, every market, every public place. Everytime I feel that the next victim could be someone I know, or even me. Isn't it the government's responsibility to inculcate a sense of safety in their citizens' minds?? Isn't this their failure that today we eye every person with suspicion?? War or no war the country's internal problems are enough to keep them busy for decades. They have to face the fact that our neighbours do not understand the language of diplomacy. This politics and diplomacy will take the country nowhere except towards loads of charred bodies , debris and a slow death of what we once were proud of - our democracy. The politicians are nothing but bunch of irresponsible, selfish people and if there 'll be war it 'll be because of their lopsided attitude. A war is not inevitable. It can be avoided but minor scale aggression is necessary to bring the country to peace. But the army needs to be given a free hand.

Your Views:War is certainly not the only way out. We definitely don't want a war but Pakistan would not mind one for more reasons than one. The govt of India is under tremendous pressure to take some aggressive action after the attack on parliament and the various other attacks by militants in Kashmir. But there could be a reason behind the patience the Govt of India is showing in responding to these terror attacks. But what could be the reason. One reason could be the elections, not just in Kashmir but also in Pakistan. I think we are playing for time. Dealing with an elected govt is different from talking to a military dictator. The present govt is in no hurry to take any hasty decisions with regards to Pak-sponsored terrorism in the valley. This is a problem which has not sprung up overnight. It just that it has come more into focus after the World Trade Centre attacks. We have been patient for so many years and now that the world community and particularly the U.S. is focused on terrorism, we are not going to blow everything up by going into war with Pakistan. So New Delhi has not painted itself into a corner on the contrary our patience will pay off and Pakistan will find itself cornered

Your Views:War is not a solution but definitely an option. For centuries India has been invaded by barbaric hordes. First the Huns, the Greeks then the Ghaznis and Ghauris the British and then the treacherous Chinese. All this has happened coz of our inability to defend our motherland. Now, we have the power, the capability and the means to defend ourselves and it becomes the duty of each Indian to do so. We must destroy the terrorist camps in POK and take back the lost territory and establish a proper border with Pakistan. If that can come only with force then be it so. Another interesting point is if Pakistans only claim to J&K is coz of its Muslim majority then let us move Hindus from the other parts of India and let them settle in Kashmir. That way it would be a Hindu majority area and hence Pakistan would lose the credibility in its claim. It should not be forgotten that the current Muslims in Kashmir were once Hindus and were forcibly converted to Islam at sword point by the invading barbaric hordes. It is for the people to know & realize that religion is a means of attaining salvation & not a means for killing innocent people. Let not religion be an excuse for manslaughter.Jai Hind.

What we have done so far is not in accordance with our policy of social harmony. Both of us indulged in talks for the sake of talks, not to find a solution to the long existing problem.
