The policy, which has led to violence and four pro and anti domicile bandhs recently, would, however be discussed by the ruling coalition partners - BJP, Samata Party, Janata Dal (United), All Jharkhand Students Union and Jharkhand Vananchal Congress.
The participation of Samata Party leader and Urban Development Minister Baccha Singh is uncertain as he had shot off a letter to Marandi questioning the domicile policy.
However, Samata legislature party leader and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ram Chandra Kesari and Excise Minister Ramesh Singh Munda have welcomed the meeting and assured the government of the party's support.
The three-member Janata Dal (United) also welcomed the domicile policy and warned the government against backtracking on it.
On the other hand, the opposition Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress said there was no reason for the meeting as Marandi had repeatedly said he would not review the policy, which has rocked the state for over a fortnight, leaving five persons dead.
