The fresh autopsy by a three-member team of doctors - P C Dikshit and S K Khanna of the Maulana Azad Medical College and N Bhardwaj of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) - was conducted on Monday evening following a written direction from the Union health ministry.
The fresh autopsy had not been conducted on the basis of any 'particular query' and no member of the families involved had demanded it, Deputy Commissioner of Police (south-west) Taj Hassan told reporters in Delhi.
It was only aimed at eliminating scope for controversies in the future and help the investigation, he said.
Although police have registered a case of murder, Hassan said even suicide could not be ruled out.
Nobody had been detained so far and neither was the police looking for anybody, he said.
Still uncertain if Natasha, in her early thirties, committed suicide or was murdered, police questioned her husband Jagat Singh for the second time to 'cross-check certain details' and also at least 10 friends and acquaintances of the deceased.
The staff of the Hyatt Hotel, where the body was found, were also questioned for the second time to ascertain where Natasha was between 0035 hours (IST), when she reached the hotel, and 0200 hours when she is believed to have died, police said.
Police also searched the rooms, both occupied and unoccupied, on the top floor of the Hyatt Hotel and tried to recreate the possibly sequence of events by throwing a dummy down from there.
Police was investigating whether Natasha had made any phone calls from her cell phone prior to her death and, if yes, to whom, Hassan said.
Police have also had a telephonic conversation with Natasha's close friend Vinay Kapoor, a senior executive of Coca Cola, currently in the US. Hassan said he was not required in the investigation so far and would be called to India if needed.
On the earlier police version that two puncture marks found on Natasha's body could be bullet wounds, he said the first autopsy had revealed that these injuries had occurred when her fractured ribs pierced through the skin.
