India's 'inaction' sign of weakness: Abdullah

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah said on Sunday that India's 'inaction' across the Line of Control to counter Pakistan-sponsored terrorism signalled that 'it was weak' and 'did not have the guts'.

Addressing a seminar in New Delhi, he said China has been using Pakistan against India while it continued to talk of friendly relations with India.

"But it is ironical that our government has not extended any support to Dalai Lama nor did we make any protest when Tibet was taken over by China."

"It is also tragic that we trust others and accuse our own people," Abdullah said, while referring to relations with the United States.

"America claims to stand by us but in reality we have to stand on our own to solve the problems," he said.

"The message down the line is that we are a weak nation and do not have the guts," Abdullah said.

"I want to see when we react. I do not want war because it leads to destruction. But how long we will get killed and accept deaths," he said.
