Government interlocutor N N Vohra will be in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 20 and 21 to hold talks with major political parties and other outfits.

He called on Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani on Thursday morning and the latter told him the guidelines that he must follow while holding talks in Srinagar.

Asked if he would meet leaders of the All-Party Hurriyat Conference, Vohra said it was up to them to decide. "I am meeting all those who are willing to come and talk to me."

"We will talk to Vohra on the issue of greater autonomy to the state, but will not be able to resolve the Kashmir issue," National Conference president Omar Abdullah told reporters in Srinagar on Thursday.

A former Union home secretary, Vohra visited Jammu soon after his appointment as interlocutor and held talks with Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, Governor Girish Chandra Saxena and other officials.

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be in Kashmir on April 18 and 19.
