Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Monday met Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani, Finance Minister Jaswant Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi to discuss different issues relating to his state.

Sayeed persuaded Vajpayee to extend his stay in Srinagar, when he comes for the Inter-State Council meeting to be held on August 27-28.

Vajpayee's promise of providing 100,000 jobs was also discussed, Sayeed said.

He also sought Centre's help for arranging finance for the ambitious Bhagliar power project.

His request came after the Asian Development Bank rejected the request for funds.

His meeting with Advani was related to the state's law and order scenario.

Sayeed also discussed matters relating to running of the state with Sonia Gandhi, whose Congress party is a partner in the coalition government.
