The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has agreed for resumption of the third round of talks with the Centre provided its leaders are allowed to go to Pakistan before the parleys.

"We know the resolution of the Kashmir issue can only be found through dialogue. We are not shying away from that. But before the third round of talks we need to go to Pakistan as this will further enhance the possibility of having a fruitful dialogue," Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Omar Farooq said.

The statement comes at a time when Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil is planning to visit Jammu and Kashmir next week.

The Mirwaiz, who had a secret meeting with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf at Amsterdam in September, said the amalgam is determined to go ahead with the talks.

"We know that Pakistan is also a party to the dispute and there is a section of Kashmiri leadership staying in PoK. They also need to be consulted before we come to the dialogue table," he said.
