The driver, his assistant and five passengers of the New Delhi-Puri Purushottam Express sustained injuries when the train derailed near Jamshedpur on Monday, South Eastern Railway sources said.
The accident occurred between Birajpur and Ghamariya railway stations under Chakradharpur divison.
Medical teams from Chakradharpur and Tata Nagar have rushed to the accident spot.
