Challenging the representative character of Hurriyat Conference, a visiting PoK delegation on Friday said the Centre should also talk to people of Jammu and Ladakh to know their point of views on solution of Kashmir issue.

"Hurriyat has its own importance but it does not represent the people of Jammu and Kashmir, it represents one school of thought and its concentration is confined to Kashmir valley," Mohammad Abdul Razzaq Khan Khalique, spokesman of all parties National Alliance, said.

"Hurriyat does not represent Jammu and Ladakh regions and the Government of India should talk to people of these regions to know their point of views," he said.

However, he said unification of Jammu and Kashmir was the only solution to the Kashmir problem and meeting of hearts and minds of people of PoK and J&K is path towards achieving it.

The head of PoK delegation, Chowadary Munir Hussain said there was no role of violence and instead heart-to-heart talks with people of J&K and PoK should be iPokntensified.

People on the two sides should be allowed to sit, discuss the issue and evolve a consensus on it, he said adding the best solution would be to restore pre-14 August 1947 state of united Jammu and Kashmir.

An eight-member delegation of PoK is here to participate in a heart-to-heart between people of Jammu and Kashmir and that of PoK.
