Both are suspected to have visited Pakistan through Iran and allegedly attended the LeT training camps at Bahawalpur and Muzaffarabad, the sources said, adding the duo was in constant touch with Ansari for the past one year.
A top police official told PTI that the two were trained in handling of sophisticated weapons and manufacturing of bombs. Jamir runs a key-making unit near Mumbai central bus depot while Sohail is a resident of Pune and is reported to have worked briefly in the middle east.
Both were allegedly motivated by Ansari to go on pilgrimage to Pakistan and their tickets and passports were arranged in 2005, sources said.
They allegedly underwent a 28-day training at LeT camps at Bahawalpur and Muzaffarabad where LeT leader Azam Cheema reportedly asked them to send more 'like-minded' youth from Mumbai to Pakistan, sources added.
