Sahil Ahmad Zaroo, the fourth youth present with Rahul Mahajan when the tragedy occurred was arrested on Saturday by local police when he and his lawyer were speaking to media persons at the Srinagar office of a news channel.

Sahil, 21, is from Srinagar and studies at St Xavier college in Mumbai, where his father Ghulam Hassan Zaroo works in the carpet trade.

"We took Sahir Ahmad Zaroo into custody from the office of a news channel in Srinagar on Saturday afternoon. A team of Delhi police is on its way and he will be handed over to them for investigations," a senior police officer told this correspondent.

"I did not know Rahul Mahajan directly. I knew his secretary Vivek, who took me to his residence. When I entered the room there was a white powder on the table. I also tasted a little of that and immediately after that I lost consciousness. I was taken away by Krish, another youth who was present there. The problem is I was present at the wrong place at the wrong time," Sahil said.

Sahil's lawyer Aslam Goni, who was also present when Sahir spoke to the media said, "He is not the supplier of the drug that caused the tragedy. He came here on a Jet Airways flight, according to his previous schedule. His trouble is trying to befriend 'big' people."

Sahil's lawyer said he was prepared to fully cooperate with the investigations since he had nothing to hide.Goni said that it was 'a case of drug overdose and since a high profile politician's son was involved, the case was getting so much hype'.
