BSF officer arrested in J&K sex scandal case

Border Security Force deputy inspector general of police K S Padhi, allegedly involved in the sex scandal in the Valley, surrendered before the Central Bureau of Investigation and was taken into custody on Wednesday.

Padhi, surrendered at the CBI camp office on Wednesday morning.

The victim, a minor girl, has named Padhi as one of the 11 persons who allegedly raped her.

Additional advocate general Anil Sethi is also facing an arrest warrant issued by the chief judicial magistrate, Srinagar, in connection with the scandal.

On Tuesday, Padhi appeared before the registrar of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, who directed him to surrender to the chief judicial magistrate or the CBI.
