Jammu and Kashmir high court, which is monitoring investigations into the sex scandal case in Srinagar, has termed as "vague" the list of accused and the line of action proposed by Central Bureau of Investigation in the case.

CBI had submitted a status report containing proposed line of action in the open court. On its perusal, "we find it vague in many respects so much so that it neither contains the names of all persons allegedly involved in the case nor does it indicate any precipitated action against those mentioned," a division bench said on Thursday.

The bench, comprising Justices Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain and B A Kirmani, directed the CBI Counsel S A Naik to produce a complete list of all persons allegedly involved in the case, indicating the action taken or proposed to be taken in each case.

The high court, while reiterating all previous directions in the case, listed it for hearing on September 18.

CBI has so far arrested 18 persons including two former state ministers, an Indian Administrative Service officer, two police officers, a DIG of Border Security Force, an ex-additional advocate general, a hotel manager and the alleged kingpin of the racket.

The premier investigating agency has already filed two chargesheets in the case against 14 accused. The trial in the case has been shifted to Chandigarh by the Supreme Court following an application by the arrested persons.
