2 SPG men hurt as van rams into Priyanka's security vehicle

Two Special Protection Group personnel accompanying Priyanka Vadra were among four persons injured on Thursday when a Maruti van hit their security vehicle in her convoy at the Rae Bareli- Pratapgarh highway.

The incident occurred during Priyanka's election campaign, when she was going to Rae Bareli from Amethi. The other two injured were occupants of the van.

The driver of the van told reporters that his vehicle lost balance because of a broken axle and hit the SPG vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The SPG vehicle hit the tree while trying to avoid a major collision.

The injured were rushed to a private hospital in Rae Bareli and their condition was stated to be stable.

Priyanka visited the hospital and inquired about the condition of the injured.
