Parents of the children, who were murdered after sexual abuse in Nithari, Uttar Pradesh, had a meeting with the two suspects -- Maninder Singh Pandher and Surinder Kohli -- when they confessed to have committed the crimes, a private news channel reported on Thursday.

The Noida Police had arranged the meeting during the course of investigations on December 30.

Ram Kishen, whose son Harsh was allegedly murdered by the duo, told NDTV that Pandher said he made a mistake when he encountered the businessman at the police station.

"I asked him (Pandher) why he did such a horrible thing with the children even after being a big man. He said he made a mistake," Kishen said.

He claimed that Kohli denied killing his eight-year-old son but admitted to killing two children who were five and three years old respectively. When Kohli was shown Harsh's photograph, Kishen said: "He admitted to picking him up thinking he was a girl."

Pappu Lal, another parent who met the suspects, said: "I asked them what they did with the children. Kohli said he killed the children and then had sex with them. The servant said he used to do these things at the behest of his master."
