UP House adjourned over Governor's address

Members of the Samajwadi Party on Tuesday disrupted the proceedings of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council over Governor T V Rajeswar's address, terming the previous government as unconstitutional, leading to adjournment of the House for the day.

As soon as the House met at 11 am, members of SP moved into the well shouting slogans against the BSP government and sat on a dharna.

Despite chairman Sukhram Singh Yadav's attempt to continue the proceedings, the SP members continued slogan shouting leading to adjournments for 15 minutes twice and then till 12 noon.

When the House reassembled again, the members continued their dharna following which the chairman adjourned the House till Wednesday after vote of thanks motion brought by BSP member Ram Chandra Tyagi to the joint address of the Governor.
