IISc attack: Hamza's accomplice to be brought to Bengaluru

The man the Bengaluru police wanted will be brought down to the city.

Sabhahuddin, the man whom the police have been pinning on to crack the unsolved mystery behind the attack on the Indian Institute of Science will be brought to Bengaluru in the next three to four days, according to City Police Commissioner N Achuth Rao.

The police have obtained his body warrant and the formalities have been completed and he will be brought down from Uttar Pradesh for interrogation.

Sabhahuddin, according to the police is the man who assisted Abu Hamza in allegedly carrying out the attack on the Indian Institute of Science in December 2005 in which one person was killed.

Sabhahuddin was arrested by the UP police along with several others almost a month back.

He was arrested on charges of conducting the attack on the Central Reserve Police Force camp on New Years' day.

The Karnataka police knew since the time the arrest took place that they had their man.

Riazuddin Nasir, the man arrested in the north of Karnataka had indicated during his interrogation that he had met the IISC attackers and had even mentioned the name of Sabhahuddin.

Even during the interrogation of Sabhahuddin in UP, he had revealed that he was part of the IISC attack and had carried it along with Hamza.

However, there were not many details which came forward in the case of Hamza.

It was said that he had fled from Bengaluru immediately after the attack and could have entered into Pakistan through Nepal.

A police team from Karnataka has been camping in UP ever since the arrest of Sabhahuddin.

They had obtained a body warrant and had said that they would bring him down to Karnataka the moment the interrogation by the UP police is over.

The Karnataka police expect him to give more information on the IISC attack and also on the whereabouts of Hamza.

Apart from this, he will also be quizzed about the rest of the terror plans he had for Karnataka and other parts of the country.
