A group of women activists of Sangh Parivar sat on a dharna in Bhubaneswar  demanding arrest of the nun, who was raped in  Kandhamal, for 'playing hide and seek" with the Orissa government.

Denouncing the nun's act of keeping herself away from the investigation, the women belonging to Rastrasevika Samiti, a Sangh Parivar outfit, suspected it could be yet another "false" allegation to defame Orissa in international level.

"A similar rape charge was made by a nun in Mayurbhanj district in 1999. That was found false. We suspect the recent case is also baseless,' said  zonal organising secretary Suchitra Mohapatra.

Seeking arrest of the nun, the women said her allegation had come as a shock for women in Orissa.

"If she was raped, what stops her from identifying the accused?" Mohapatra asked.

The agitating women also demanded arrest of those involved in the killing of Mata Bhaktimaye, one of the few, gunned down by miscreants at Jalespeta on August 23.
