Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has expressed confidence that the Third Front would be able to form the next government at the Centre.

Naidu, who launched his party's election campaign on Thursday and also unveiled the party manifesto, welcomed Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar's decision to attend the Third Front rally in Bhuvaneshwar and said that many more changes will take place at the national level during and after the election.

"I am confident that many others will also leave the United Progressive Alliance and National Democratic Alliance to join the Third Front. Sharad Pawar may also join us and all of us together will form the alternative government. There is no doubt about it," he said.

"(Biju Janata Dal chief) Naveen Patnaik is already with us and Sharad Pawar is attending the rally in Bhubaneswar -- that is a clear indication that we will work together," Naidu said.

"Congress has already lost hope and its leaders are ready to sit in the opposition. This was admitted by their official spokesperson. There is no chance for the BJP. Third Front is the only option," he declared confidently.

Naidu clarified that he was not an aspirant for the prime ministerial post. "It was offered to me twice in the past and I refused. But I will work to the best of my ability to see that the Third Front government comes to power in Delhi," he said.

About the TDP's prospect in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu said, "You are going to see surprise results in Andhra". He stressed that all the problems with in the Grand Alliance had been sorted out and all the unauthorised candidates will withdraw from the contest.
