The Bhadohi district administration has served a notice on Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for his alleged remarks against a particular community during an election rally.
District Magistrate Deepika Duggal on Wednesday said a notice had been served on Mulayam Singh on Tuesday for his remarks against a particular community during an election rally recently and he had been asked to submit his reply within three days.
During the rally, Singh had read out excerpts of a book written by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP supreme Mayawati and made some derogatory remarks.
Duggal said his remarks were objectionable and amounted to violation of the model code of conduct.
A CD of his speech had been sent to the Election Commission, she said.
