Bharatiya Janata Party's Pilibhit candidate Varun Gandhi, who is out of jail on parole for two weeks, will campaign for the party in several constituencies of Uttar Pradesh on April 26.
"Party leader and nominee from Pilibhit parliamentary constituency Varun Gandhi will address election rallies in Hamirpur and Jalaun of Bundelkhand region, besides Fatehpur and Kanpur on April 26," party spokesman Hero Bajpai said on Thursday.
This will be Varun's first election tour of the state as star campaigner of the party, since he was released on two weeks parole by the Supreme Court in connection with his hate speech in Pilibhit.
The BJP leader addressed his supporters in Nawabganj area of Bareilly district on Wednesday, after filing his nomonation. Varun is making his electoral debut against his uncle and Congress leader P M Singh.
