Tharoor in Cong's Kerala list for LS polls

Noted author and former UN diplomat Shashi Tharoor [ Images ] is the Congress candidate from Thiruvananthapuram for the Lok Sabha elections.

He is among a list of 16 candidates whose names were announced by the Central Election Committee of the party on Thursday night.

The noted diplomat, who was India's [ Images ] candidate for the office of UN Secretary General in 2006, had earlier indicated that he will contest the Lok Sabha polls if he was given a chance and gave indications that his choice was Congress.
