May 15, 2009 12:28 IST

Leaders of the Communist Party of India- Marxist, Telugu Desam Party and the Communist Party of India are in 'constant touch' with All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief Jayalalithaa, ahead of the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha polls on Saturday, sources close to the Tamil leader said on Friday.

The sources, however, said no Bharatiya Janata Party leader is in touch with her.

CPI-M General Secretary Prakash Karat, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan discussed the emerging political situation in the country with Jayalalithaa over the phone, sources said.

Jayalalithaa is likely to be in New Delhi on May 18 for consultations on government formation, they said.
