Advani calls up PM, extends good wishes

After repeatedly targeting him during the campaigning, senior BJP leader L K Advani today called up Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to congratulate them on the victory of the Congress-led UPA in Lok Sabha elections.

Advani, who was the prime ministerial candidate of the BJP, greeted Singh as also Congress chief Sonia Gandhi for their success in the elections and gave his good wishes, his office said.

Earlier, BJP had conceded defeat to Congress-led UPA in the elections.
