Pawar: Waivering influence
A known organiser, 68-year old Sharad Pawar is among the few leaders who has been able to retain his influence even after leaving Congress.
In the Lok Sabha elections, his Nationalist Congress Party projected him as the PM candidate in Maharashtra, maintaining that Manmohan Singh was the PM candidate of the Congress and not of the UPA
