Tendulkar placed third in Pepsi ratingsSachin Tendulkar's match-winning century against Australia in Madras boosted his point tally to 6420 and is ranked third now in the Pepsi world cricket rating released in New Delhi today. Other Indians in the top 10 are Saurav Ganguly with 6,111 points (sixth) and Navjot Singh Sidhu with 5,131 points (10th). Skipper Mohammed Azharuddin (4,628 points) is placed at number 15 and Rahul Dravid (4,451 points) is at the 20th slot. However, no Indian figured among the top 20 bowlers. Sri Lanka's Arvinda de Silva with 9,566 points is currently at the top of the batting rating. Young Azhar Mahmood of Pakistan, who made a sensational debut this season, continues his good form in South Africa, where he had an excellent series with that bat. He is ranked second. Sanath Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka occupies the fourth place, above Inzamam-ul-Haq of Pakistan while Gary Kirsten of South Africa, who headed the last ratings, is down to the seventh place. Angus Fraser, who spearheads the England bowling in the Caribbean, is the top-ranked bowler, with 8,834 points. Coming up a close second is Curtly Ambrose (8,174 points), who struck back for the West Indies to win the Guyana Test. Allan Donald who helped South Africa level the home series against Pakistan is currently third, with 8,144 points. Wasim Akram, who was ranked second in the last ratings, has slipped to seventh place, but now that he is back with the Pakistan team he may improve his rankings soon.
