Chopra fires five-under 67Daniel Chopra fired in a five-under 67 to climb 25 spots to tied-81st after the penultimate round of the six-round USPGA Tour Qualifying School being staged at the par-72, Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Chopra’s five round tally stands at eight-under 352. India’s only representative on the Q-School, Jeev Milkha Singh returned his second straight level-par 72 to slip to tied-123rd from his overnight tied-106th position. Jeev tallies three-under 357 for the tournament. Pat Perez, who set a new course record with a 63 in the third round, blasted a superb seven-under 65 on Monday to continue in the lead for the third straight day. Perez, whose round was studded with as many as six birdies and one eagle, tallies a staggering 27-under 333. Daniel Chopra brought all his experience of playing the European PGA Tour into play for his bogey free round of 67. Chopra’s outward journey was studded with birdies on the 3rd and 4th while his back-nine began with a birdie and ended in a birdie–birdie flourish. Daniel’s best friend and Hero Honda-sponsored Jeev Milkha Singh had an average front-nine with bogeys on the 2nd, 6th and 7th overshadowing birdies on the 3rd and 8th. An improved effort on his back-nine saw him birdie the 14th and 17th with a lone bogey on the 13th handing him a score of 72.
