Baichung Bhutia, the bulwark of Indian football, will display his command and skill over the game from October 21, three days ahead of the inauguration of the Afro-Asian Games, when India takes on Rwanda in the opener in a Pool A league matche.

Placed in a relatively easy pool, India (FIFA ranking 130) will take on the African nation, ranked 109, while Malaysia plays Ghana in Pool A on the opening day.

Iran and Uzbekistan are the heavyweights in Pool B along with Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe.

Cameroon pulled out of the tournament.

Asian Football Confederation technical coordinator Indran inspected the grounds and facilities available and gave his suggestions.

"The ground is good but some fine work has to be done. There is some unevenness at the goal area and some such other loose ends need to tied up soon," he said after his inspection.

The Uzbekistan team arrived last night.

The Pools:

Pool A: India, Rwanda, Malaysia and Ghana.

Pool B: Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, Iran and Uzbekistan.
