India's Satyadev Prasad moved into the pre-quarter-finals of the men's individual archery competition at the Olympic Games in Athens on Tuesday.

Prasad beat Ron van der Hoff of The Netherlands 158-155 in the second round at the Panathinkiko Stadium.

He displayed fine concentration to hit four ten-pointers, including one bull's eye hit, to progress to the pre-quarters, where he faces an uphill task against South Korea's Im Dong-Hyun, who finished first in the ranking round.

The 25-year-old Indian, who ended a lowly 48th in the ranking round before ousting Yuri Hamano of Japan in the opening knock-out round, reached his best in the fifth series where he secured full 30 points including two ten-pointers and a bull's eye hit.
