Schumacher will be beaten: Barrichello

Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher will be beaten this season, according to his Ferrari team mate Rubens Barrichello.

"The pressure's on him, apparently, because people are trying to make him win the whole 18 (races) which I think is impossible," the Brazilian told a news conference before Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix.

Schumacher has won the first five races of the year, equalling the best ever start to a championship.

"There are lots of people trying to win the races, including myself," said Barrichello. "There are tracks at which he's stronger than at others. You just have to take your chances whenever they come.

"He's been very strong and it's really good to see that, after all this time, he's still doing well.

"I'm proud to be driving alongside him in a team because I'm really being compared to the best out there. But I don't fear him. I think my time has to come during the year and hopefully he won't score many points whenever I'm scoring."

Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone said after the last Spanish Grand Prix that he hoped the six-times world champion could win every race this year.

"Winning five or six is good but it would catch people's imagination if he gets closer to all 18," said Ecclestone.

"When Cassius Clay was boxing it was great to see him winning all the time. People loved that and he did it with real style. And that's what people are curious about now. Can Michael win them all?"
