Olympic hockey semi-finalists Spain will play two hockey Tests against India in Chandigarh later this month as part of the team's preparations for the upcoming Champions Trophy, the Indian Hockey Federation announced on Wednesday.
The matches will be played on November 28 and 30 at the Sector-42 Stadium, the IHF said in a statement.
The matches would be officiated by Rashid Mahmood Butt and Syed Zulfiqar Haider, both from Pakistan.
The Spanish team will be visiting India for the first time in eight years. The last time they toured India was in 1996, when they played in the Indira Gandhi Gold Cup hockey tournament.

The Spaniards, coached by Dutchman Maurits Hendrlis, finished fourth in the Athens Olympics. They were also runners-up in the last European Championship, in Barcelona.
The team will reach India on November 26 before heading for Chandigarh for the Tests. They will leave for Lahore, venue of the December 4-12 Champions Trophy, on December 1.
The Indian contingent is currently undergoing training in Chandigarh under the supervision of chief coach Gerhard Rach and his deputy Jagbir Singh.
