After taking the tennis arena by storm in the year gone by, Sania Mirza wishes to spend her 19th birthday on Tuesday in a quiet and calm fashion "with family and friends".
Since her last birthday, Sania has come a long way crossing close to 300 rankings to jump into the world's top 30 players giving celebrity status to her and the Mirza family, which lives in the posh Jubilee Hills.
"There are no celebrations this year. We plan to celebrate at home with family and friends," Sania's father Imran said.
Sania, who shared the dais with master blaster Sachin Tendulkar at a function on Monday, said it is the biggest birthday gift she could have in her life.
Sania, who has many 'first Indian' tags to her credit, leaped into the big league in just one year after she got a wild card for the Australian Open following her first WTA tournament win in her home town.

Since then there has been no looking back for the girl having an overpowering persona with her glittering nose ring and attitude as her trademarks.
Sania will begin the build up for her new season from next week with a two-week training stint under elite coach Tony Roche, who would work on her serves.
