Non-stop to Windy City
United Airlines which discontinued service to/from India on April 4, now has plans to introduce a direct, non-stop flight between New Delhi and Chicago. Their plans are not formalised yet and the company is waiting for certain approvals before they can begin. They are shooting for the flight to be introduced by October 31.
The flight will be 15 hours long and cover 7,484 miles, which is one of the longest flight distances in the world. A non-stop United flight will be the fastest way to reach North America from India, should it be introduced.

Air-India currently operates four flights a week
from Bombay to Bangalore. While one of these links directly with
the Singapore-bound Air-India flight, the second links to the Singapore/Jakarta-bound AI flight, the third flight links directly with the Dubai-bound AI flight .
Similarly Air-India operates five weekly services from Bangalore to
Bombay, three of which originate in Singapore and the fourth is a
Muscat-Dubai-Bangalore-Bombay flight.
The return fare to Sydney by economy class valid till the end of October is Rs 40,780, before discounts. The return fare to Sydney by business class valid till the end of October is Rs 110,705, before discounts. Quantas does not offer first class on its flights to/from India.

The one way fare, quoted by agents, from Bombay to Abidjan is Rs 38,310 after discounts; the excursion fare, valid for four months, is Rs 69,445 after discounts.
