Taleban foreign ministry spokesman Najibullah Sherzai on Thursday asked all journalists to immediately leave areas controlled by the Islamic militia.
About 50 journalists had been staying in a Taleban foreign ministry compound in the border town of Spin Boldak in southern Kandahar province.
An agency report said the scribes were given two hours to pack up and leave for the Pakistani border crossing at Chaman.
