India backs US-led attack on Afghanistan

India on Sunday "unequivocally" supported the United States-led attacks on Afghanistan and said that a "war" against terrorism was necessary to bring their perpetrators to justice.

An external affairs ministry spokesperson said: "The military strikes were expected and New Delhi had very unequivocally supported the war against the perpetrators of terrorism and the need to bring them to justice."
